About Entreprenurses
Entreprenurses is a Community Interest Company which is a type of social enterprise. What that means is we want to change the world and we want to do it in a businesslike and entrepreneurial way. Specifically we:
- Support the growth and development of entrepreneurs (particularly social entrepreneurs and nurse entrepreneurs)
- Develop the art and science of nurse entrepreneurship
- Encouraging the development of social enterprises in health and social care
- Improve the delivery of healthcare
What we want to do is help make the world a better place by improving some of it ourselves but mainly by helping other people improve their bit of the world themselves. We were established in June 2007 and provide practical support for social enterprises as well as individual entrepreneurs (particularly social entrepreneurs and nurse entrepreneurs).
Most of our funding comes from the commercial success of the social enterprises and social entrepreneurs we support. We provide what people need and what we know works in a way that people can use.
Entreprenurses was founded by Dave Dawes (and you can find more about him below) and is a membership-led organisation (and you can find out more about being a member here).
